The included drivers and profiles would yeild a much better color gamut and likely comparably accurate color. In 2010, the 9900 would offer you about 4X-8X the speed of the 9600. The RIP provided a pretty big leap forward as far as options for calibrating color, workflow controls, and Postscript processing. When the 9600 was the hot item, the OEM drivers and profiles included were pretty mediocre. But what kind of RIP would be best for us?
